Motors and drives often account for a large percentage of a site’s energy consumption, particularly on industrial premises. As well as reducing this, energy-saving motors and drives will often lower the ongoing maintenance costs, as the equipment itself usually lasts longer.

All eligible products in this category appear on the Energy Technology Product List (ETPL). This is continually updated, with new products added and old ones removed at the beginning of every month.

You will be able to claim an Enhanced Capital Allowance on a product if it’s on the ETPL at the time of purchase. If it has been taken off the list, or is added at a later date, you will not. So make sure the product you want to buy is on the list before making your investment.
