Energy Technology List updates

Since being published in 2001, the Energy Technology List (ETL) has been updated every year as part of the Government’s Budget cycle.

The update can include the introduction of new technologies to the list and amendments existing criteria for technologies already on the list.

The changes to the ETCL for 2011 were:

The introduction of one new technology area:

• High Speed Hand Air Dryers

and some notable 'housekeeping' modifications to 8 other technology categories:

• Burners with controls
• Hot Water Boilers
• Steam Boilers
• High Efficiency Lighting Units
• White LEDs
• Heat Pump Dehumidifiers
• Air to Water Heat Pumps
• Uninterruptible Power Supplies

The ETL was published in July 2011 and came into effect on 1 October 2011.
