The changes to the ETCL for 2010 were:

The introduction of two new sub technology areas:

Biomass Air Heaters (within Warm Air and Radiant Heaters area)
Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (within Motors and Drives area)

and some notable 'housekeeping' modification to 11 other technology categories:

Biomass Boilers and Roomheaters
Hot Water Boilers >400kW
Hot Water Boilers <=400kW
Packaged Chillers
Refrigeration Compressors
Refrigerated Display Cabinets
High Efficiency Lighting Units
White Emitting Diode Lighting Units
Cellar Cooling equipment
Variable speed drives
Curtains, Blinds, Covers & Doors for Refrigerated Display Cabinets

Also announced was the removal of support for Compact Heat Exchangers and Refrigeration Liquid Pressure Amplification technologies.

The ETL was published in July 2010 and came into effect on 8 October 2010.
